Hetty Haden, Elly's eldest daughter, remembers her mother by a poem: "Hi
family; Twenty
Years Without Mom It's a feeling that
won't go away; It's hard to think,
she has missed so much; Her sons have moved
on, gone ahead with their lives. This house that I
have lived in for so many a year; When all of us get
together, laugh, sing and eat, Though she is gone,
she never has left. What would we be without
having her for a Mom? She has instilled
the best in us all. Let us gather again,
our respects to be paid. She's in Heaven with
Dad, of that we are sure; Mom was there to meet
loved ones, waiting at the Gate; Dad, Oom George, Tante
Puck, Oom Max and Nicky, Tante Grie, Opa and
Oma were there to greet her. We were together with
Mom in suffering and sadness.
